The ancient city of Ayutthaya, built in 1350, was the second capital of Siam.  Ayutthay translates to “The undefeatable city”, and it contains more than 300 temples.  During this tour, you will be treated to:

  • Wat Phanan Cheung, the largest sitting Buddha in Ayutthaya.
  • Wat Yai Chaimongkon, offering many great photo opportunities.
  • Wat Mahathat, where you must see the Buddha encased within a tree.
  • Wat Phrasisanphet, the largest temple in Ayutthaya.
  • Wat Chai Wattanaram, with Cambodian architecture.

Itinerary:

  • 08:00 - Pick up from your hotel in city center
  • 09:15 - Visit Wat Chaiwattanaram
  • 10:00 - Visit Wat Mongkon Borpit and Wat Prasrisanpet
  • 11:15 - Visit Wat Mahathat
  • 12:15 - Stop for lunch at Krungsri River Hotel
  • 13:30 - Visit Wat Yaichaimongkon [extra: Wat Phananchueng if desired]
  • 15:30 - Drop back at your hotel
